To celebrate its first 20 years, the Teatro del Silenzio offers three unmissable events

On the occasion of the first twenty years of the Teatro del Silenzio organised by City Sound & Events, on July 22nd, 24th and 26th in Lajatico (Pisa) three unmissable evenings will be held. On the first and last evenings, Maestro Andrea Bocelli (co-founder and honorary president of the Teatro del Silenzio) will celebrate the 20th anniversary flanked by international guests; while on July 24th, in an absolute novelty, Matteo Bocelli will be the star of the evening with other guests yet to be announced. Today the first two guests who will accompany Andrea Bocelli during the opening and closing evenings were announced: Maestro Plácido Domingo on July 22nd and Clara on July 22nd and 26th.

Clara, is a young pop artist and a sensitive songwriter, able to blend writing and performance with a vibrant voice and innovative interpretations, and Plácido Domingo, an internationally renowned opera tenor, renowned for his impeccable vocal technique and stage charisma that has enchanted audiences worldwide for years.

For anyone who loves music, the Tuscan open-air theatre named after Silence has become an iconic site: a place where, punctually, the wind of history blows. On the spectacular stage of the Lajatico arena, the greats of music (classical and pop), but also of film and dance, have performed.

After the resounding success of the last edition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Maestro Andrea Bocelli‘s career, 2025 will celebrate the 20th edition of the summer event. An important milestone where the Teatro del Silenzio will host a three-evening music marathon, thus offering a highly anticipated triple event that will expand the traditional format.

«The recent adventure at the Teatro del Silenzio for my 30-year career,’ Maestro Andrea Bocelli emphasised, ’was a memorable experience that confirmed the uniqueness of the venue: a marvellous audience, an artistic parterre capable of testifying to some of the most acclaimed creative realities in the world! Everything took place under the banner of serenity, of an inspired, euphoric lightness. The beauty of Lajatico always plays its part, of course: it helped to create a comfortable environment for the guests. Everyone, without exception, was happy to be there… It is difficult to analyse the reasons rationally: in a way, my entire career has the inexplicable, in each of these thirty years and up to this incredible midsummer concert. But we are already preparing a new ‘cast of dreams’ for 2025, so that the twentieth edition of this formidable gamble will be worthily celebrated. For two decades now, it has been punctually won, resulting in a moment of collective grace, in a superlative festive occasion for all: a celebration of art as a whole and of life tout court».

On Thursday July 24th, for the first time, another musical evening will be organised, totally different but equally full of music and surprises: the spotlight will be on Matteo Bocelli, the young and already much-loved singer who is now a star of the first magnitude, applauded in Europe and overseas.

Having inherited from his father a powerful musicality and that velvet vocal timbre, an invaluable specificity of the Bocelli family, Matteo has subsequently achieved, in just a few years, his own consolidated artistic maturity and a personal, lively and seductive style.

The 20th edition is therefore shaping up to be an extraordinary musical marathon, which will certainly remain in the hearts of the audience.
