Vladimir Stoyanov has gained international recognition for his interpretative skills and musical talents as one of the leading baritone in the nowadays opera scene. He is regular guest in such theatres as Opéra de Paris, Wiener Staatsoper, ROH London, La Scala, Metropolitan New York, Real de Madrid, working with such conductors as Zubin Mehta, Seiji Ozawa, Riccardo Muti, Myung-Whun Chung.
Bulgarian, Stoyanov graduated at National Music Academy in Sofia, then studied in Rome, at the Academy “Boris Christov”, with Nicola Ghiuselev.
Recently some successes of his have been La Traviata in Munich, Berlin, Arena di Verona, Florence and Naples, Boris Godunov at Teatro alla Scala, Rigoletto in Rome, La forza del destino and Don Carlos at Festival Verdi in Parma, Opéra de Paris and Liceu de Barcelona, Nabucco at NCPA of Beijing, Un ballo in maschera at Teatro La Fenice di Venezia (conductor Myung-Whun Chung), Otello (Iago) in Tokyo and in Verona.
